Celebrating Hospitality Apprenticeship Opportunities
Hear what some of our learners have to say about their apprenticeship success in Hospitality!
This Hospitality Apprenticeship Week we’re celebrating all the amazing opportunities available to new learners and more experienced employees who want to get ahead in the hospitality sector. As the third largest sector in the world, over 3 million people are employed in the industry. Apprenticeships offer a diverse career path into hospitality, other than higher education, and learning is unmatched when it comes to practical experience with hands-on, progressive training.
High quality apprenticeships are vital in such a fast-paced and competitive sector. What sets STS apart, as a top-tier training provider, is that we equip apprentices with the skills they need to succeed back in their workplace, and in life, with an emphasis on soft skill development, such as, building resilience and confidence through experiential learning.
Why apprenticeships?
Exceeding levels of service and customer satisfaction is only made possible through the real-life scenarios apprenticeships deliver. And providing hands-on experience that’s relevant to specific career paths. If that’s not enough, organisations who invest in training their apprentices and are Levy paying employers have no additional costs to fund apprenticeships. Non-Levy paying employers pay just 0-5% of the cost, depending on the organisation’s size.
Types of hospitality apprenticeships available at STS
• Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeships
Equivalent to a GCSE, a Hospitality Team Member Apprentice would carry out a range of general and specialist roles within hospitality businesses, including bars, cafes, conference centres, restaurants and hotels.
• Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeships
Fully immersed in our Chef Academy, following an innovative 3-week bootcamp in a local community kitchen, our Production Chef Apprentices complete a unique programme tailored to aspiring culinary professionals.
• Level 3 Hospitality Advisor Apprenticeships
Multifunctional in nature, a Hospitality Advisor provides vital support to management teams. Independently supervising staff and activities within hospitality businesses including bars, cafes, conference centres, restaurants and hotels.
• Level 3 Senior Production Chef Apprenticeships
Accountable for the day-to-day running of a kitchen, a Senior Production Chef would support a Head Chef, in larger establishments, or lead a team. A step up from our Level 2 programme, this apprenticeship adds another layer of learning that further raises the bar.
• Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeships
Fuelling apprentices’ passion for exceeding customer expectations, the Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship brings together all the principles of delivering exceptional service alongside top-tier leadership training.
